HMRC AUDIT SUPPORT

Have you received a letter asking to provide copy declarations and supporting documents? This is often how the audit process starts for import and export compliance checks. 

We can support with the following approach: 

• Check the entry was completed correctly, and if any issues are identified, take mitigating action on your behalf 
• Review validity of preference and quota claims, and ensure the supporting evidence is sufficient, or make recommendations on further actions needed 
• Liaise with agents to obtain any missing declarations 
• Draft the response letter to HMRC and accompanying evidence pack 

HMRC will also arrange to visit the site of importers, exporters and customs agents. We are experienced in attending these audits.
